Can anyone recommend a lightweight left hand or tang safety muzzleloader that is light? 6 1/4 or less?  For a quick shot I don't like the hammers under the scope and the button safeties on the trigger on other guns go the wrong way. thanks.

I've never owned a blackpowder gun that had a safety on it ...the safety is between the shooters ears if you ask me.

Looks like the Vortek Strikefire's safety can be reversed to accommodate your "condition".  It's also 6.25 lbs.

strikerfire has a double safety but you only need one and thats the simplest by not cocking it. Same for the cva accura v2, optima and wolf.
