PostSubject: FOUR MORE DAYS   December 28th 2013, 5:15 pm

I have taken the last four days of the late muzzle loader season off from work. My freezer is full so I'm in a bit of a pickle. I have harvested a buck and two antler less deer so I can harvest another buck now. My plan is to strictly trophy hunt. But I don't think I can pass up on a shot on any deer I see. How do you do it. I have never been able to. I guess I will see what happens when the time comes.                                                             BIG RACK ONLY! BIG RACK ONLY! BIG RACK ONLY!
I'm going to have to tell myself that a thousand times between now and then and remind myself repeatedly whilst hunting.

If you have a freezer full, do just that and trophy hunt, you sound like you are running out of room LOL. Late season is a good time for a big buck to come out. Just hang in there and be patient, if its meant to happen, you'll either see a nice one and have the chance to shoot, or have a chance to see a big one at least.

I'm in Delaware and between our early muzzleloader and shotgun I've dropped 6 and my freezer is full as well.  I'm going primitive iron sights only to try an eliminate 100yd + shots but I'm like you I don't know if I could pass up a deer if I see it.

Must agree older Bucks make excellent sausage. I have sausage made out of both and older Bucks have the edge. Mix 50  50  Pork and venison . You will get good sausage
