PostSubject: NEW SML CONVERSION AT THE RANGE TODAY   January 1st 2014, 3:18 pm

First HAPPY NEW YEAR to every one, and hope everything turns out right this year for every one. Well took the new SML conversion to the range today, and she is a tack driver, no question about that. I sighted in at 100 yrds. using a 10/48 duplex load of 4759/4198 with Hornady FTX's 225 gr., and she put them in there. had to put a pasty on one side of the target since it tore one big solid hole while I was moving the scope to the center, and then all four shot dead center and another great big hole, so I took some 200 gr. FTX's and shot three at the bottom right had target and they all are in there. The average velocity for the 225's was 2254, and for the 200, 2252, they are real close. I know I'm loosing a bit of velocity, and will figure out hoe much once I take both the 24" barrel and the 20" barrel back to the range this Sunday. Any way she is a keeper,

Once in awhile i'd like to see you shoot a flyer Carlos.

Just to show us you're human.  Very Happy

Just got a 20" 45-70 SS slufoot conversion for my SS Encore  Need a stock set once I get that and scope it I will try carlos load used for his  Hope it shoots as good? This is my third smokeless build. 700 ML'er with Brux barrel 45 caliber. Buffalo Classic 45-70 cut down to 28" Luke breech plug done by Cole. Smokeless is the only way to go especially I live in a shotgun only state (Delaware) no restriction other than no ML'er smaller than 42 Caliber. At 79 hope there is still some time left to enjoy them.Lou

If you order the rifle stock, it will take, and it should come with the forearm rifle screws.
