 Increased Velocity with new CVA's new Nitride finish..

PostSubject: Increased Velocity with new CVA's new Nitride finish..   February 4th 2014, 4:03 pm

I just watched a video where it was said that you could see higher velocities of up to 100 feet per second with the new Nitride finish that is applied inside the bore. Pretty interesting.

Any application that reduces friction will give you some increase in feet per second.  The question is how do those velociities change with a "dirty" barrel that pops a primer or fires a round  Question  (lot of guys like to use a dirty barrel when hunting)

Is it like Moly where their friction is reduced allowing he bullet out of the barrel without as much pressure so the gain really isn't all that much?
