what is t7 powder and how is it compared to bh 209? I shoot bh 209 but was told that t7 is just as good but is a lot cheaper.i use to use pyrodexrs, but with bh209 I like how that there isn't a lot of smoke after you shoot and it sure cleans up a gun really nice.

T-7 isn't as powerful as BH209, causes a crud ring to build up in the barrel, you'll need to swab between shots, it is more corrosive, i& t is dirtier. With that said if you have a sidelock, or inline with #11 or musket ignition, or a plunger gun, it;s the next best choice.

With that said, a lot of guys use it with great results. I would use BH209 anywhere I could & T-7 loose powder would be my second choice.

BH209 for my inlines that can fire it reliably. Greg pretty much summed up the rest of it.

Whoever told you T7 is as good as BH has never used BH. It's well worth the few bucks extra it cost.

Why not black powder. I only use BH 209 and black powder. The other subs just gave me too many headaches.
