PostSubject: BH209 Volume = Weight?   February 21st 2014, 1:38 pm

Can someone here please tell me what the weight of BH209 is compared to measuring in a Regular BP Measure? I have been using Pyrodex P in My White and have just bought an Optima V2 from a Member on here for my Grandson so I would like to weigh my BH209 Charges on my PACT Electronic scale. Anyone have a chart showing the different weights compared to Volume? Thanks in Advance.

volume x .7=weighed.  Works out real close to Jon's results. Volume measures vary greatly.

If ten grains by volume is 7.1 grains by weight, then one hundred grains must be 71 grains.

measurements above were with my measure which throws them roughly 1 grain heavier. Pretty darn accurate though.

If you want to know what 80 grains of bh209 weights just type into the calculator, 80x.7 = and you'll have the answer.
