Bought my first .50 cal sidelock rifle today , can't wait for it to be delivered !

Looking at a .45 as well....

Those look like pretty good rifles! You plan on shooting conicals or round balls?

The .50 is a 1:48 so i'll see what it likes best , the .45 I'm not sure off. Will have to see when they get here.
Both are second-hand but in very good nick.
I'm sure both of them will put Impala or warthog sized game down with no problem, will reserve the 8 bore for elephant Pete  Wink

They should do well on blesbok, reedbok, as well as the smaller stuff like bushbuck and duikers too.

By using 345gr lead slugs in the 50 I think she'll be able to take a kudu or blue wildebeest too.
