Opening day is just 44 days off and in 43 I'll be on my way. Gear is all ready, checked and rechecked. License and tags ready Exclamation  Room is just waiting for me to check in.
Now, 2 more days to work at the range as as a R/O and a little more practice with my .58 and she'll be ready also. One thing I still have to do is get and oil change, lube, new oil filter and air filter and maybe a new battery for my wrangler.
THEN I WILL BE READY FOR THE DEER. Good luck everyone Exclamation Exclamation Exclamation  I hope you all have a great, safe season.......... :rtup

Ray, good luck on your hunts, if they ever get here. bounce

Do you have an early bow season that you could take advantage of?

Thanks Bob Exclamation
It will get here soon I hope. As far as shooting a bow, I used to shoot a Mathews compound 70#draw at 30"s. Took a lot of deer and hogs and then I switched to a recurve. Just like I went from in-lines to side locks. I got really good with my custom made Bob Lee Hunter take down. Still took deer and a few hogs but then my wife had a bad set back with her MS and I never shot my bow again. It's been at least 5/6 years now. Funny though, I used to go to the archery range every Sat and shoot 100 to 125 arrows every weekend and never had a problem with back or shoulder muscles. I picked up my recurve the other day and could barely draw it back once. It would probaly take me a year to get back to where I used to be......
To answer your question, bow season starts 1 0ct and goes thru to Jan 15 or 16. It closes briefly for gun season.
Maybe one day I'll dust off that recurve and try again scratch

Be careful if you go back to the recurve. That's how I tore up both of my rotator cuffs. I had been pulling 78# on my Jennings single cam and didn't practice for 4 mos. I picked it up and said, "Whew, something's wrong" , so I pulled real hard and felt my shoulder pop. I persisted until I ruined the other one too.
Stubbornness is not a virtue.

Good luck Ray! I REALLY wish we could get you on camera once more this season! I think you did a hell of a job on the hog video and I really look forward to you filming more of your hunts.

As always, take lots of pictures inside and out!

I had a good time making that video. It was a a lot of fun. Maybe down the road we'll try to get another one going. I hope to take a lot of pics.

Thanks again,
