PostSubject: Blackhorn 209 questions   December 14th 2014, 9:41 am

I have an Accurra V2 that I am currently shooting 777 powder out of. I am thinking about changing over to Blackhorn 209.

1. What do I have to do to the gun to change it over to Blackhorn?

2. What laod would you suggest.

3. Those of you who have an Accurra, what are you shooting out of it? Primer, Bullet, how much powder????

Just order the blackhorn 209 breech plug with the breech plug seating tool. Install, crank it down tight, back it off and its ready to go.

With BH209, most sabot loads will be in the 90-110 grain range.

Theres so many loads for the accura thats its just TO much to list LOL.

What kind of game will you be hunting? Besides to nice buck in your avatar pic!

90-110 grains and basically any sabot and bullet of your choice. If you're used to shooting 777 don't swab between shots. I think you will like the switch.

There are a couple of reports on the Lehight bullets in the SHOOTING RANGE section that you can check out.

BUY BLACKHORN NOW.

it was my first time trying it today. I must admit I was pretty skeptical on all the claims made about it.  but
ITS ALL TRUE

I shot it out of my prohunter fx today. I was shooting 110 grains off the bat. when I got to the 3rd shot I said lest see. the 2nd loaded good. well the 3rd 4th 5th 6th-10th
all loaded good. and I didn't see the groups opening up or wandering all over. so I grab a patch and ran it down the bore. as I was putting it in I said to myself here comes a stuck ramrod
for sure. not only did it not get stuck it had less fouling on it than one shot from my regular black powder 2f goex and 777  shot in my 700ml. unreal this stuff is amazing.
anyone who has a modern inline and is not shooting this is missing out.
its worth the extra money for way less hassle than the other powders

BUY IT NOW

The MMP and Leighs you will really like. In a .45 the light Tan MMP will shoot just about any .400 200gr. bullet well. 100-110 grs. of BH-209 is a winner.

How does this powder perform in sidelocks?

It won't work in sidelocks unless you use 209 primers. Mag Spark makes an adapter to do that.

Why do you want to do that? BH 209 is a modern powder meant for modern muzzleloaders.

Sorry. I hadn't even heard of BH 209 until I joined this forum. I have divested myself of all inlines except a Traditions Pursuit Pro.
