 Started on my GPR kit!

I got the barrel draw filed last week. Took off all the farby roll marks, then fit the tang to the breech plug hook. Forgot to take any pics of that stage. 
Next step was to inlet the lock plate bushing. It's close enough that finish sanding should bring it flush!!

Next step is to inlet the lock plate assembly. I upgraded to an L and R flintlock, so there will be extra work, as the l and R is different that the Lyman lock. Had to order some gouge chisels from Track, so now it's on hold!!

Looks good so far! The GPR is an awesome kit to put together. Go slow and it will come out perfect.

Good call on upgrading the lock. It'll save you aggravation later.

Put some time in on inletting the lock today!  Slow but sure!!
