PostSubject: I got myself today   January 18th 2015, 5:26 pm

Boy did I pull a good one on my self today.

With my Hawken being all prettied up, I decided to go a head and bed the barrel channel on it since I've done so on the last 2 other Hawken rifles I've built.

Got it all nicely bedded with JB Weld, took off for a couple hours, pushed the wedge key out and pulled the barrel free. Still semi wet and just a mess after pulling the barrel out!

Fuming the entire time I scraped and cleaned the barrel/barrel channel out. I got everything ready to mix and damn it! Thats why it was still wet. I accidentally bought the original stuff that takes 4 to 6 hours to set up headslap

I got it right this time around LOL. Let it set for 8 hours and got separated the barrel from the stock. Very clean! Should see some improvements on the range. Just redoing some browning on the barrel now.

That's all I use. I very rarely use the fast set and I always let the JB sit over night
