PostSubject: ONE MORE TIME AT THE RANGE WITH THE 416   February 8th 2015, 4:21 pm

well went back today to finish sight in on the 416, and I decided to go with the Barnes TTSX 350 gr. since it sizes easy and loads great. The charge this time was 80 gr. of IMR 4064, and I did pick up a few FPS more. The average was 2450 fps. Had to adjust the scope up and right a bit to get the group centered, and also shot three at 200 yrds. I real happy with the results. The first target is the sight in. Had to go up and right a bit, but once I got it there I was happy. There are 9 shots in that group, and the next is the 200 yrd. three shot using the CDS dial system.

Looks like it is ready.  Need to find a hog to shoot with that bullet so you don't have to wait for deer season.

It would make me feel better if he posted a bad group once in a while! lol!   There will be another build.  I think he had weak moment last week when he sold they 700 action.
