Well, I couldn't sell the damn thing so I decided to order the red FPJ's loaded them with Winchester W209 primers, cleaned the bore, wrapped the plug in tape with a little grease over it and put it all together.

For started I will try 90 grains Pyrodex Select and the 338gr Powerbelt Platinums. Swab lightly between shots with the birchwood casey no.77 bore cleaner.

Now to figure something out for scope mounts/rings? I have my KonusPro 3-10x44 I will put on it for fun.

I'm sure you know about the recall for the trigger groups in these rifles.

yeah not real worried about that yet. Still have to check and from the looks of it, they may have took off to much material from the tumblers notch that made them go off.

FG - I'm kinda surprised you couldn't sell this.  My friend and I , both purchased one years ago.  He loves it, his best shot was with Hornady 250gr SST, using 3, T7 pellets, at a deer 207 yards away measured with a Bushnell yardage pro range finder.  Rifle was scoped.

There's nothing in my gun cabinets that I don't like. Everything can be sold. You just have to bite the bullet financially sometimes.

Been there - done that! Last resort of an at-home sale says...."Make me an offer".
Last resort period says ...."To be donated to a nearby Gun Club for a future charity auction to help raise funds for disabled, homeless or injured vet.

I am thinking hard about donating my 1999 Chevy S-10 4X4. It has a few minor issues, but very driveable. Just tired of it after 17 years of owership and don't want to look at it anymore.

I eventually sold it for what I paid, minus $25 for shipping. It was a good accurate and handling rifle without a doubt.
