PostSubject: Pedersoli Tryon .50cal updated   June 4th 2015, 11:03 pm

Got this one all put back together the other night. I browned the barrel and refinished the stock. MUCH better! I was able to bring out the nice wood grain and knots. Very pretty rifle and built like a tank. A little over 9.5lbs with this set up.

I'll get some better pics tomorrow. I was going to do it today but after so many hours in the 89* sun while working on the Jeep, Im pooped.

I kind of like the original color. Did you stain it. It looks kind of red, or is that the lighting?

Its the lighting. Its a real nice natural walnut color. I had to stain it otherwise it would be a light oak color.

So which set of photos is what it looks like now? I don't like the red-orange color in the middle set of pictures. It reminds me of the color of Italian repro revolver grips.

geee thanks, thats what it looks like now and it looks nothing like an red -orange color because its the lighting that highlights the wood.

To each his own. That's why all Fords aren't black any more.
