Hello, guys, Received my new mr friday and she`s a shooter. Many thanks to Carlos for his patience and help. Wanting to get comfortable I shot at 50 yrds only today. 1st 2 shots went through the same hole. Last 3 were touching. My load was 90grn blackhorn 209, hornady 240 grn xtp , fed 209A primer. Very comfortable day at the range! i`m happy.  Laughing

:rtup  sounds like you are off to a great start already! Now you just need to stretch her legs a lil further and dial in at 100.  Good luck! Keep that barrel cool and you'll do well.

Sounds like you are off to a great start with your new set up. good shooting. You will find out, the MR likes just about any thing you want to try.

MUZZ, you will enjoy the optima, It also will shoot great with what ever you want to stuff down it. I have both guns, and they are both great shooters.
Both guns are very accurate.

As Dave says.....you're off to a great start. Just keep practicing & I can promise you that your gun will shoot just as good at 100 yards

You may find that with your gun as you stretch out the yardage that your groups could open up quite a bit. It would be advisable to have both Harvester Crush Rib & Harvester EZ Load smooth sabots on hand just to compare how they shoot

My APEX was great at 50 but horrible at 100 with several different bullets. I switched to the EZ Load sabots & the gun became a 200 yard tack driver instantly! Sometimes just a sabot change can make that much difference.

Hopefully everything works out just the way that you have it set up but if not don't despair, just try a few different tweaks & the gun will do more than you can imagine. Keep up the good work & just yell if you need help. That's why we're all here Smile

Greg

Yesterday was a little test session. I will be trying other bullet and sabot combinations. I have some easy load sabots on hand with hornady flex bullets. My t/c black diamond is a long range shooter, took me a little time to figure out but that`s   part of the fun. We have a few guys that get together at the range that shoot muzzys and i`m always learning something. BH 209 is new to me, so far I like the results. Thank you everyone for your encouragement.
