Well I got bored...and looked into the shop and came up with enough to build a lefthanded flintlock pistol...It has a 10 1/2 barrel from the Oregon Barrel Company with a small breech, white lightning vent....L&R Manton lock...L&R single set trigger....The stock is hand carved from some cherry and stained with lye...It was a good break and I thought it might be nice to share...And it shoots very well...Decided to try a left lock due to the fact when at the line and being a right hand shooter the frizzen and pan are right there in front of you, the same way some modern shooters have a right bolt and left eject...And with a pistol it really doesn't matter which side it is on really...Oh Well so much for that...

Nice to have talent.

Does that trigger set by pushing it forward?

Yes it sets forward and the sear engagement and tension is adjustable...and it breaks very clean and light...

Yep works really well with a small amount of recoil...For twenty five yards I use 15 grains of Swiss with a .017 Pillow ticking patch...And use 20 grains for 50 yards with the same patch...I have even shot woods walks with a flint pistol and it is a real HOOT...You really owe it to yourself to try...It is addicting...

I love to work with wood, and that Cherry is fabulous, really pretty. Sounds like it shoots as well as it looks, doesn't get any better than that. Wink Very Happy
