I saw the ad in Backwoodsman had to check it out. Great site! I have enjoyed reading & learning from the posts. Looking forward to reading more. Started shooting muzzle loaders some time ago. Started out and still have an inline CVA. Got into traditional ML shooting couple of years ago. I joined Brushy Creek ML Club in Lennox Ga. It has turned into an addiction. I shoot several TC's, a 32 and 45 Cherokee, New Englander 50 and Renegade 50. I also attempt Embarassed to shoot a rifled 58 cal Antonio Zoli 2 band.

Welcome aboard! I am glad you found us. Its good knowing that the advertisement brought in some quality muzzle loading members. We're pretty laid back and don't put up much with any nasty arguing. We bust some chops now and then in a fun clean way but never get nasty with one another.

Looking forward to reading more posts and range reports you have to offer!

Jonathan

Glad to join. Thank you for the warm welcome Jonathan. I don't care for drama. I'm used to chop bustin I don't get no respect from my hunting buds. But they always wait to start after I get through cooking. Told em I resign from camp cook @ the start of last deer season didn't work. Did get nice present next evening the boys put nice fat nanny white tail in the freezer for me. I will be glad to give you some range reports. I usually shoot the 4th weekend of every month.

Bob I do hunt with my ML. I used to use my inline CVA as primary. Started using my TC renigade as primary last 2 seasons and keep inline as back up now. I have always shot loose powder in all my guns. Started out using Goex. I now shoot 777. Goex is hard to get. I also like how much easier it is to clean up after shooting.

That's very true. I'm not very tech savy with electronics. I will have to get some help up loading some pictures for you. I have one picture and story of a hunt 2 years ago that will be of interest ( I think ) to many patch and ball shooters. Will post the pic soon. Have you ever missed a strait on head shot shot with a patched round ball @ 50 yards on an evening hunt? I did. The reason for taking the shot was  I got busted by the deer. She was walking strait towards me and picked me off not before  I had time to put the bead on her first. The deer ran a few steps and started blowing @ me then move a few more steps and cont to blow this went on for 15 minutes. Of course it was at the very last shooting light and the deer went behind thick brush. The next morning I  harvest a nice doe from the same stand. Upon inspection when I go to her and rolled her over I found a perfectly round hole in her ear. I guess the temptation of the loaded crab apple trees I was hunting by was too much for her and she returned the next morning.
