TO much money for what you can get elsewhere is my opinion.  I have never shot one but I have fondled one.  It felt nice.

I have heard very goods results with them, They shoot out too 300 yards but a Knight can do that in the right hands. Yes boo coo bucks but if you hunt in a state where the rifle must be totally muzzle loader then they might be the ticket Personally my preference is a smokeless muzzle loader In the right hands can shoot 500 yards

The NEW Remington Corp. has put the brand name in a shame category. Remington guns have been my favorites from the time I first picked up a gun in 1957. Sadly, the lack of quality control and cheap components makes anything new with the Remington name suspect in my book.

I know absolutely nothing about the 700 UML but am basing this negativity on their other recent products.

Friend of mine bought one and it shoots all over the place, trying all sorts of load combos. It is currently at there repair facility. Would not shoot even 150g loads. My cva mr would shoot circles around it.

The 700 UML is an awesome gun, but you don't get much more range than some of the current inlines with 30" barrels. As far as fit and finish, it's a fantastic gun and I like the idea that the Remington 700 action can accept aftermarket triggers, like TriggerTech. Weight is certainly an issue with this gun if you plan on packing it around. A lot of the discussion around these guns will hinge on your particular hunting style and expectations.

Overall, you won't be disappointed if you buy one, but if you wait a couple months there may be a better option available, that was leaked not too long ago...

My buddy got his back from repair and they did him right, said they found a safety issue with the gun.
Apparently they replaced the barrel but he says the action also has different serial number. We are guessing maybe a head space issue, he said it didn't sound the same going off from one shot to the next. Anyway it is a very good shooter now.
