If your gun is an inline that uses 209 primers, then it is OK. If not, the BH209 probably won't ignite from a percussion cap. If it's a flintlock, forget it.

You can convert a sidelock to using 209 primers by installing a Hubbard's Mag-spark in place of the nipple.

Yeah, its most likely a #11 set up and thats a no go. Must have 209 ignition with the closed breech plug style.
