PostSubject: What Load Combination   February 18th 2016, 9:12 am

Hey Guys,
New here but been hunting with a muzzleloaders since 1989 (when I was 14)   I now have 4 kids, 1 hunting now and number 2 about to get his license.
We started with the old Hawkens but moved into the inline scene years ago.
Ive been shooting a triumph for about 6 or so years now, no complaints.   A good friend of mine owns a gun shop and he had ordered a CVA accura v2 for a fella last year but he didnt want the scope mount.  So the gun sat on the shelf for a year, then he made me an offer I couldnt refuse.   He said pay me what the cost is for the gun and it's yours.  He does 90% of his business with handguns and the other 10 with rifles/shotguns.  So he wanted to get rid of the gun.
Anyway, long story short I now have a CVA accura, and 2 wolf's for my sons.    I have read that CVA suggest using powerbelts in their rifles.

Can I get some load suggestions for these 3 guns.   I would like to shoot the same for each, this was there's no confusion in the woods when we have to re-load.

Thanks you!

Steve

BH209 90-110 grains by volume
Harvester EZ Load sabots
MMP sabots if using a .458 bullet
Western Powders BH209 breech plug

Bullets......
inexpensive PT Gold 260 or 300

My preference
Barnes TEZ 250
Hornady Monoflex 250 (452 0r 458 diameter)

Call Carlos at Ed's Gun Shop for your needs

Hope this helps,

Greg

90 gr. pyrodex rs 240 or 300 gr. xtp w/ez mmp sabot.. 300 usually shoots best in Optima
this load has shot good in all my Knights and T/C guns and is a very good deer killer.

110 gr.BH 250 shockwave w/dark blue sabot very accurate in my Mountaineer.
