Shot capsules Empty
PostSubject: Shot capsules   Shot capsules EmptyApril 30th 2016, 1:39 pm

I found some Speer shot capsules at Midway but only for .38/.357. The .44s work better but everyone's been sold out of those for ages, it seems.

This morning, I loaded some in .357 mag. hulls with #8 shot and 5.5 gr. of Unique, trimmed the edges of the capsules after crimping because they squash out a bit making loading into the cylinder really tight otherwise.
I shot some at targets from 15 ft. but the pattern was too spotty. At 10 ft. they produce a fairly tight pattern that is good enough to cover a snake with a killing shot.

I wish I could find some for the .44.
